EasyJournal Ad Hack

Okay so I was messing around today looking at some other free blog services and came across easyjournal.com. They are a pretty good platform but you are required to have a nice 728x90 (leaderboard) ad at the top of the page. There is a work-around though. (If you do this you will probably violate their TOS, so be warned). You can easily hide the ad using this little snippet of JS code in each post.

<script language="javascript">
<!--
var divs = document.getElementsByTagName("div");
var adUnit = "freetop";
var adDiv = "";

for (var i = 0; i < divs.length; i++) {
if (divs[i].className == adUnit) {
divs[i].style.visibility = "hidden";
}
}
//--
>
</script>

This will cycle thru each div tag on the page and once it finds the ad, it will make it invisible. Why am I showing you this? I don't know, to me it is a huge flaw in their system. They have a free and a paid platform. If I were them I would strip all code from posts on the free system, that could be another upsell for their software. They choose not to do that but that leaves their system open. The best thing is if you run this code it causes the ad to still get served by the adserver so all the stats will get tracked but the click-thrus will be null and void.

Have fun and maybe they will update their system.

Why was there no follow on bankruptcy then? The bailout of AIG FP went to (wow power leveling) hedge funds that bound credit swaps on Lehman failing or others betting on rating (wow power leveling) declines. AIG has drained over 100 billion from the government. Which had to go to those who bet on failures and downgrades. Many of whom (power leveling)were hedge funds. I-banks that had offsetting swaps needed the money from the AIG bailout or they would have been caught. Its an (wow powerleveling) insiders game and it takes just a little bit too much time for most people to think (wow gold) through where the AIG 100 billion bailout money went to, hedge funds and players, many of whom hire from the top ranks of DOJ, Fed, Treasury, CAOBO
